Pharmacies
All pharmacies currently operating in the Irish State must be registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) in order to operate and comply with the Pharmacy Act 2007. In this regard specified standards are an important component in the measurement of quality of service and care provided to the patient. Failure to comply with the provisions of a regulation may impinge on the registration status of a retail pharmacy business, and may, in certain instances, be a criminal offence.
Health Care Informed (HCI) works with pharmacies not only to assist in compliance to the new regulations but also to maximise the benefit of the new regulations for pharmacies. Using national and international expertise, HCI provides a comprehensive service from the project management of the compliance timeframes, to the creation of practical documented processes, clinical audits, error managements systems, guidance on structures, clinical governance, and ensuring the effective use of the dreaded paper work!
