ECRI Institute
ECRI Institute is an independent, not for profit, organisation which dedicates itself to bringing the discipline of applied scientific research in healthcare to uncover the best approaches to improving patient care.
More than 5,000 healthcare organisations worldwide rely on ECRI Institute's expertise in patient safety improvement, risk and quality management, healthcare processes, devices, procedures, and drug technology. ECRI Institute is one of only a handful of organisations designated as both a Collaborating Centre of the World Health Organization and in the United States as an Evidence-based Practice Centre by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
Established originally in 1955 as the Emergency Care Research Institute in Plymouth Meeting Philadelphia, it is one of the foremost Healthcare Research Agencies in the world. ECRI Institute opened its European Office in Welwyn Garden City in May 1995.

CHKS are one of only seven organisations worldwide to be accredited by ISQua (International Society for Quality in Healthcare) and are certificated by UKAS (UK Accreditation Service) to award ISO9001:2000.
CHKS service-specific and hospital accreditation programmes put quality at the heart of everyday working practices. CHKS tailor their services to reflect the priorities of each client in every health sector, and take into account the cultural differences and complexities of various healthcare economies and systems.
In 2009 CHKS announced that Health Care Informed (HCI), Ireland's leading provider of healthcare quality and safety improvement services, is now available to provide support to its clients in Ireland in preparation for, and following on from, accreditation.

South-West Healthcare Skillnet
South-West Healthcare Skillnet is an enterprise led network with a focus on the nursing home sector.
The South-West Healthcare Skillnet network is set up by nursing homes for nursing homes and in this regard is driven by the membership. This intrinsic partnership between the network and its members produces a platform upon which training programmes are tailored to the training needs of nursing homes and the legislative requirements which they face.
South-West Healthcare Skillnet offers numerous training courses to enrich the contribution of workers in the implementation of internationally recognised best practice standards in nursing homes.
Membership of the South West Healthcare Network is free of charge upon registration for a course.
HCI is an approved training partner for South-West Healthcare Skillnet delivering a range of programmes to assist nursing homes in preparation for compliance with HIQA residential care standard.
