Health Care Informed to Support CHKS Accreditation in Ireland

CHKS is delighted to announce that Health Care Informed (HCI), Ireland’s leading provider of healthcare quality and safety improvement services, is now available to provide support to its clients in Ireland in preparation for, and following on from, accreditation.

Jill Krynicki, Health Accreditation Unit Director commented:

It is really helpful to work with the HCI team who are experienced in working with our Irish Clients and able to provide support to organisations working toward accreditation. Our joint approach enables healthcare professionals to work with enthusiasts who focus on the key issues.

HCI brings together specific expertise in the areas of patient/client centred quality and safety solutions, through the effective use of information and innovative solutions. Through its dedicated team of professionals and network of national and international associates, HCI can offer support in the following areas:

  • Accreditation and Regulatory Compliance
Accreditation and regulatory systems provide many challenges for organisations but also a framework to enhance the quality and safety we provide. HCI has many years experience providing overall project management of the compliance process including practical tools such as gap analysis, record templates, policies and procedures, clinical audit frameworks, internal and supplier audits, mock inspections, staff training and much more.
  • Quality, Risk and Clinical Governance
HCI works with healthcare organisations to minimize the risk and maximize the safety of care and service delivery through the provision of development support and training in incident and near miss reporting systems, corrective and preventative action processes, clinical incident investigation, root cause analysis, health and safety requirements and more.
  • Policies Procedures and Process Mapping
Documented processes of care are a basis requirement of all accreditation, licensure, certification and quality and safety systems. The need to understand our processes is core to the provision of a safe and high quality service. Central to this is getting staff involved in discussing processes and through discussion staff can participate in determining what works and how it can be improved. HCI helps to develop practical, effective policies and procedures through process mapping and facilitated workshops with relevant staff members.

John Sweeney, Director at HCI commented:

Accreditation and certification systems provide organisations with a framework to develop the quality and safety of services they offer.  HCI is delighted to offer its support services to those CHKS clients in Ireland who are preparing for CHKS.
