The HIQA Entry Programme and Inspection Process - A Practical One Day Workshop

To assist Nursing Home Proprietors and Persons in Charge in the management of the HIQA registration process, HCI is facilitating a one day, hands on, workshop. This will help participants maximise the process of the HIQA Entry Programme, Registration, and Onsite Inspections through the provision of tips, examples, role play and discussion.

Facilitators:

John Sweeney – Director (HCI), Technical Advisor to the International Society for Quality in Healthcare, initial developer of the HIQA Entry Programme and co-ordinator of the public consultation on the HIQA Residential Care Standards for Older People.

Pamela Fagan – Director of Operations (HCI), qualified Australian Aged Care Accreditation Surveyor, Internal Auditor, implementation of residential care systems fulfilling Australian and Irish regulations.

Amy Collins – Quality and Safety Executive (HCI), qualified Internal Auditor, implementation of residential care systems fulfilling HIQA requirements, development of residential policies and procedures and Resident Groups.

Dr Helen Flint – Director of Nursing, Research and Development (HSE) developer of the Medication Management module for the HIQA Entry Programme, trainer of HIQA Inspectors.

Nursing Home Persons in Charge – input from nursing homes who have been involved in HIQA inspections.
