Disability Services
The Health Information and Quality Authority has published National Quality Standards: Residential Services for People with Disabilities. These set out what a quality, safe service for people with disabilities in a residential service should be in all residential services provided by the Health Service Executive (HSE), private organisations and voluntary bodies.
The standards focus on key quality and risk areas of quality of life, staffing, protection, development and health, rights, the physical environment and governance and management. Through HCI's international network, and national expertise in the area of disability services, we work with organisations not only to help compliance with the standards but to maximise the practical benefits of the framework.
HCI provides a comprehensive service from the review of your current status, project management of the compliance timeframes, to the creation of practical person centred processes, client involvement, protection, quality of life, and simple yet effective governance and management structures.
